Baby Pictures (2002)

“Baby Pictures is a series of drawings I began after the birth of my daughter. The work process was away to explore social conditioning, at the sensitive stage of early childhood. The drawings engage notions of gender, sensuality, naiveté and submission. My source materials are photographs I took of my daughter. I utilized paint, photography and digital media to create drawings that are ambiguous yet suggestive.

These drawings were also used as source material for the “Decoys” series of paintings
